I saw this red dragonfly perched on wiper blade of a car. In Sharjah, a lot of workers suppliment their incomes by washing cars. Invariably, just to indicate that they have washed a car, they leave the wiper sticking up.

I went in got my camera, not expecting the dragonfly to be around, but he hadn't moved. I stuck the camera in as close as could, about 200mm, took the pictures on macro setting.

The dragonfly did flap his wings and stare at me angrily with his large multiple eyes, but did not fly away. I took more than 60 pictures and he was still on the wiper when I left.
